Jeffrey William Woods, born May 24th, 1965, passed away peacefully on October 3rd, 2023, with his family by his side.
He will be lovingly missed by his wife of 30 years, Carol and his children, Caitlin (Jordan), Taylor and Tanner; sister and brother, Lorraine (Don) and Russ; mother-in-law, Jean Tighe; sisters-in-law, Lyn (Steve) and Cathy; nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Ernie and Chris Woods; sister, Linda Woods; father-in-law, Ron Tighe and brother-in-law, Gerry Suggitt.
Jeff was a proud member of the Winnipeg Police Service serving for over 30 years, retiring in March of 2020. He took great pride in his family and in his role as a father; he was always involved in their many activities growing up. A special moment for Jeff in the past few months was him being able to see Caitlin and Jordan get married in June. Jeff loved to golf and you could always find him puttering around in the garage or the yard. He was looking forward to travelling, especially on more cruises and visiting Tanner out west.
We thank all those from Manitoba Cancer Care and, more recently, the Palliative Care and MAiD teams who helped guide us through these past months. We also want to thank all of our family, friends, and community members who supported us. We will miss Jeff beyond measure but know he is now at peace.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 10th at Green Acres Funeral Home, 1 Green Acres Lane, Navin, MB. (Highway 1 East at Navin Road)
