I loved my grandma alot i visited here house every weekend but when she died i was really sad and every one in my family was too she made really good oat meal and i still wish she was alive every day beacause i love very much.

With every day that passes, not one goes by that we don't think of you.  We miss you, but we still hold on to your memories, and have a special place in our hearts. That is how we know that you are still with us.  Sadly missed, but never forgotten by all.  Love you.

A year has almost passed and it is no easier today then it was on July 21, 2011. Not a day goes by that you are not thought of. Kyle and Ryan miss you so much. You made a great relationship with them. They miss the sleepovers, pumpkin pie, oatmeal and of course fishing with you. We remember you everyday in the little things we do like tending the garden and taking care of the plants that you loved. We will think of you and bring your memory with us to all events in your grandson's lives. You will be deeply missed at graduations, marriages, and births. 
You are our guardian angel. Please watch over us and walk with Kyle and Ryan till we can all meet again.

Dear Mom,

No words can truly describe the immense pain and sorrow I'm feeling with your passing. Not one day has gone by where I haven't shed a tear. I've grieved since the day you were diagnosed with cancer, February 27, 2011. I've shed tears not only for myself but for you and for all the hurts you may have experienced. I'm truly sorry. I have also shed tears for Dad and the entire family. Mom, you were the thread that kept this family together and now I'm faced with the difficult task of filling in your shoes. Mom, you were an incredible woman -- as you were a very supportive and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  You're my inspiration and hopefully, one day, I can be the daughter that you're proud of. Mom, I solemnly promise to do everything possible to keep our family safe.

A Eulogy from a Daughter to her Mother

Hello, my name is Debbie Henzel, and I'm Carol's daughter. I am honoured to deliver this eulogy for my mother and my best friend.

My mother was an amazing woman. She was truly inspirational as she showed great inner strength, strong will, and determination in her battle against cancer. She was the type of person who took comfort in placing the needs of others before her own. This was especially shown in her devotion to her children and to my father, Walter, with whom she shared her life for fifty-one years. Family was of the utmost importance to Mom. She played an important role in supporting us emotionally as well as physically. To the end, my mother was a teacher, a protector, and a nurturer.  It was through her, we learned about love and when needed how to mend broken fences. We also learned not only to love ourselves but most importantly how to be loved.  As a mother and protector, she always tried to shield us from life's disappointments and at the same time she respected our need to make decisions. But despite any misunderstandings, disagreements or wrongs we may have made, she loved us unconditionally. In essence, it was through my mother that we learned about life.

The greatest gift we could ever give our mother now is to continue with living the way she would expect - lives filled with honesty, integrity, values and morals. Mom, we thank you, from our hearts, for all that you have done as well as the endless sacrifices you have made. You would often say, once a mother always a mother until the day you die.  But, today, I am going to disagree with you as memories of you will live forever not only with Dad, with me and my siblings, but also in your grandchildren. Mom, you will not be forgotten as your spirit will always be with all of us.

Mom, as a family, we were extremely blessed to have you as part of our lives as you deeply touched every one of us.

Although today is sad in that you may not share any more tomorrows, we take solace in knowing that one day we will be together again.  So, Mom, at this time, we won't say goodbye, but rather "see you later".

Mom, you will be truly missed and we love you.

To my father, on behalf of the family, I would like to express our gratitude for the extraordinary care, compassion, and support you provided our mother during her final days. We will be forever grateful for all that you have done for her during this difficult journey and we love you.

And finally, I would also like to thank family and friends for the support and love they provided us during this emotional and difficult time. Your thoughtfulness and support will never be forgotten.

Mom, you will always be loved.
