Luzviminda Gabinay Braesch was born on December 27th, 1952 in Pasay City, Philippines. She graduated high school at Pasay City East High School and studied Political Science at University of The East.
Luz spent time overseas in Naples, Italy where she met and married her husband Bryan, to whom they’ve shared 35 years of marriage. After settling down in San Diego, Luz studied Child Development at Southwestern College and volunteered as a teacher’s aide at Perry Elementary, which sparked her passion for teaching children. Luz was also known to be hardworking and spent 17 years working as an associate of the navy exchange.
As a St. Mary’s parishioner of 30 years, she was devout and ready to serve the Lord. She was a member of the morning rosary club, military club, volunteered her time to help teach catechism and is best remembered for sharing her religious articles.
Luz was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will always be remembered for having a zest for life, a helping hand, her large personality, and contagious laughter and smile. Luz is survived by her husband Bryan, daughters: Cherry, Liza, and Rachel, and five granddaughters.
