Zeneida O’Connor Aquino, of Hendersonville, formerly of Nashville, passed away on July 19, 2021 at the age of 79. She was born in February, 1942 at Valdefunte, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, Philippines.
Zeneida graduated Nueva Ecija High School Class of 1959. Completed Unit Secretary Training at Nashville Area Vocational School in the 80’s and worked as a Unit Secretary in the Newborn Nursery at Metro Nashville General Hospital for 22 years. Member at St. Ignatius of Antioch Catholic Community Church.
Zeneida loved to garden. As soon as warm weather comes around, you will find her planting, watering, mulching, weeding and fussing over everything from mums, begonias, petunias, hostas, clematis to birds of paradise. You should see her garden in full bloom come summertime. She also enjoyed reading books on her down time. She took lots of pictures and organized them in albums, plenty of photo albums.
Zeneida O’Connor Aquino was preceded in death by Emmanuel J Aquino, her husband of 50 years from Nashville, TN; parents, Harry Sr and Maria O’Connor; and siblings, Charlie, Robert, Conchita, Edgar, Delilah and Eddie O’Connor. Survived by children, Fanny (Joseph) Laoyan, Leon Aquino, John (Jojie) Aquino, Joseph (Jeneth) Aquino, and Jacquiline Aquino; grandchildren, Daniel, Samuel, Gabrielle, Katelyn, and Kelly Aquino; great-grandchildren, Hailey and Haden Aquino; siblings, Rosita, Luzviminda, Harry, Jr., Marilyn, and Walter O’Connor; several cousins, nieces, and nephews in the Philippines, Guam, Dubai, Germany, California, Utah, Alabama, Washington State, Tennessee, Nevada, New Jersey, and New York.
The family would like to express their appreciation to the ER and ICU Staff of TriStar Hendersonville, Dr. Bruce Wallstedt & staff at Blue Skies House calls, Christy Jeffers, Carrie Anderson, Jessica Janssen and staff at Brookdale Homehealth, Mr. Dan Grubbs and staff of Willowbrook Hospice, and Kurt & Genny Willet and staff of Healthmart Pharmacy.
Mass will be held on the 31st of July at 10:00AM at the Cathedral of the Incarnation Catholic Church with Father Eric Folks officiating. A private interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park due to the current worldwide pandemic. Family will serve as pallbearers.
