Willis "Willie" Todd Walker, age 93, of Deer Lodge, Tennessee passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022. Willy was born October 26, 1928in Glenmary, Tennessee to the late Webster and Melly Jane Walker. In addition to his first wife, Carol Walker.
Willy is survived by his loving wife of twenty-five years, Janet Walker; children, Dawn (David) Akins and Eve Stephens; step-children, Tammi Meyer, Brenda (Jack) Ray, Michael Meyer, Deborah Meyer (Andrew Sullivan), Adam (Jaclyn) Meyer, Wayne Upchurch, Debbie, Cheryl, Robin, Donna and Lori; fifteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
Willis was a twenty-two year retiree from the Unites States Airforce, as a Tech Sergeant with a specialty in Explosives Ordinance Disposal. After his service to his country, he worked with the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority, as a Security Specialist. On November 30, 1973, he assisted in disarming a live bomb within the Terminal. Willis stayed with the Airport and eventually retiring after twenty years.
Willis and his wife Sue were long time members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Jamestown. He enjoyed working on people's cars, gardening and was a true servant of Christ, to others in need.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at one o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in Dignity Hall of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home, with entombment to follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
