Rose Marie Campbell

Rose Marie Campbell, age 93, a loving mother, grandmother and friend, of Franklin, Tennessee passed away on Friday, October 6, 2023. Rose Marie was born to the late Dennis and Vurgee Wilson on May 9, 1930 in Nashville, Tennessee.

Rose Marie Graduated from West End High School. She further her education at Belmont and Peabody College in Nashville, Tennessee. Before becoming married, she was an airline stewardess for American Airlines based out of Nashville, Tennessee. She was employed for 30 years at Third National/SunTrust Bank in Green Hills Nashville, Tennessee. Rose Marie was a single parent who raised three boys on her own. She was full of optimism and support-she never met a stranger. She was an avid singer and piano player. She loved to go to the beach along the Florida Gulf Coast, she loved animals and enjoyed baking, going out to dinner and dancing. She also loved being active at church, growing up at Judson Memorial Baptist Church, then later, Woodmont Christian Church and Woodmont Baptist Church.

Rose Marie is survived by her sons, Alfred Lester II, Bill (Robin Barber) Lester, James (Jill) Lester; grandchildren, Elizabeth Lester, Laura Lester and Alfred Lester III; and niece, Joan Mitchell.

Rose Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Delmar Campbell; her parents, Dennis and Vurgee Wilson; and sister, Virginia Jenkins.

A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, Tennessee 37204, on November 1, 2023, at 3:00pm.
