Retired First Sergeant in United States Army Airborne. An instructor for nearly 20 years at Turney Center and Nashville State Technical Institute. A lifelong athlete, in his later years he was an AVID golfer. He was an active member of Bellevue Church of Christ.
Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Franklin and Marie Adeline Blevins; three brothers, Muriel, Billy, and Monte Blevins.
Survived by wife of 63 years, Mable K. Blevins; son, Robert C Blevins, Jr. (Penny) of Old Hickory, TN; daughters, Suzanne Lewis (Ernie) of Cisne, IL and Amy Gelinas (Ray) of Clarksville, TN; sister, Peggy Smith; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 from four o’ clock in the evening until eight at Woodlawn. Funeral Service will be held at eleven-thirty in the morning on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Woodlawn with Visitation one hour prior.
