Mrs. Craig, born in Dickson County, TN on February 13, 1926, was the daughter of Bertha Daniels Wall and Elbridge Pike Wall. She was a graduate of Charlotte High School and attended Austin Peay State College. On September 22, 1948, she married William A. Craig, Jr. in Nashville, where they lived their entire married life. She was a loving and devoted wife, caring and supportive mother, a doting grandmother, and a dear friend to many. Her schedule was always busy with entertaining, golf and luncheons with friends at Richland Country Club, and bible study. Active in church her entire life, she loved the Lord.
Survived by son James Andrew Craig and daughter-in-law Susan Craig of Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Leigh (Jake) Gamble of Swannanoa, NC, Sarah Craig of Nashville, TN, Katherine Craig of Franklin, TN, William (Shawnee) Craig of Spring Hill, TN, and Hays Craig of Franklin, TN; and great grandchild, Carter Craig of Spring Hill, TN.
Predeceased by parents, Bertha Daniels Walls and Elbridge Pike Wall; husband, William A. Craig, Jr.; sisters, Vernelle McGee, Edith Scott, Ellen Glenn, and Jessie Wilson; and brother, Robert Buford Wall.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2019 at two thirty in the afternoon in Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Homes Dignity Hall, with Jim Wilson officiating. The family will visit with friends from twelve thirty until the time of service at two thirty. Burial will follow with the grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff at NHC Place Cool Springs Memory Care Unit and Dr. Joannie Langston for the many years of superb care, compassion, and respect given to Mrs. Craig.
