Mr. Bacigalupo was born on September 8, 1931 to the late Paul and Rosie Mai Williamson Bacigalupo. He is survived of his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Evelyn Gwin Bacigalupo of Nashville, TN, his daughters, Donna Whitney (Darrel) of Salida, California, Gina Syphus (Steve) of Lehi, Utah, and Lynn Peach (David) of Murfreesboro, TN. He was a loving grandfather to 11 Grandchildren and 24 Great-Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and friends.
Mr. Bacigalupo was preceded in death by brothers John, Charles and Roy; sisters Rosie Mai, Irene, Lorene and twin Phyllis, and his great-granddaughter, Becca Rose.
Phillip was a devoted member of Crievewood Baptist Church for over 60 years. He graduated from Central High School in Nashville and remained close with many of his childhood friends over the years. Phillip was a proud veteran of the United States Army where he served in the Korean Conflict. He worked at Vanderbilt University in the Carpenter shop. Phillip and Mary Evelyn traveled throughout the United States enjoying their adventures and spending time with their grandchildren.
A gathering of family and friends for Phillip will be held Monday, December 5, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204, followed by a celebration of life at 2:30 PM with Pastor Will Sensing presiding. Burial with military honors will follow on the grounds in the Garden of the Good Shepherd.
