Peggy Lampley Rose, age 81, of Nashville, Tennessee, departed this life on January 20, 2021. She was born on October 21, 1939 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late, Manuel Alvin and Bessie Mai Driver Lampley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband 53 years, Julius A. Rose and daughter, Judy Lynn Rose and her beloved companion of 15 years, Sara, her Springer Spaniel.
Peggy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah Kay Rose and Reggie Young of SpringHill, Tennessee; brother, Larry J. (Sherrie) Lampley of White Bluff, Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy was the secretary for the State Director of Tennessee for United States Department of Agriculture, Rural Development Division. Peggy loved to read, loved PBS commentaries, murder mysteries shows, loved the music of old Country Music, Elvis and bluegrass music-especially Larry Sparks, Bill Monroe and Ricky Skaggs, was a fan of the Nashville Predators, University of Tennessee Lady Vols and the New Orleans Saints. Peggy was a loving and supportive wife and mother.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from eleven o'clock in the morning until time of service at noon on Monday, January 25, 2021 at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at twelve noon on Monday, January 25, 2021 in Dignity Hall of Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home with Rev. Betty Proctor to officiate. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
