Just learned from Dee Boaz of the passing of Paul.  Needless to say I was shocked - he was a good friend and co-worker.

I am so happy to read how Dad affected people in such wonderful ways through his writing, his photography, and mostly through his positive and loving personality.

I got to know Paul through the many Chamber, DHNA and Nashville Next meetings I've attended throughout the last few years. He was always interested in what I had to say -- and I can get verbose. I will so miss his face, his personality, and of course, his camera at future meetings.

My prayers go out to Susie and all of Paul's family.  May God give you comfort that only He can.  Paul was such a wonderful man, cheerful, talented, intelligent and a joy to be around.  It was one of my greatest desires that he would finish his book [set in Nashville] and get it published.  Truly Paul is going to be missed. But, I count it a great joy and privilege to have known him.  I really enjoyed being in the Word & Image Guild with him a few years ago and getting to listen to his stories.

I was Paul's first wife, and the mother of his child Shelley Carlton.  We met in high school, married, had Shelley, then had some rough times.  We always had a bond because of Shelley, and in later years we became friends again.  I haven't seen him in almost 10 years, but I knew he was there for Shelley.  I will miss him as well.

My condolences to Sue Carlton, Pam Shelton and Veronica Hilburn, and to Shelley.

I am saddened to hear of Paul's death.  My condolences to Sue and their daughter.  Paul was a friend to the local community (Donelson - Hermitage). I am so sad to hear of Paul's passing.  We were fellow writers though he was far more talented than I.  I will miss hearing him read chapters from his book about a Nashville cop.  Farewell, my friend.

So sorry to hear this.  I always looked forward to seeing Paul at local events!  he was a friendly, genuinely nice guy!  He will be missed.

Paul will be deeply missed in our community.  His attendance at community events with camera in hand and a smile on his face showed his genuine enthusiasm as a news man.  He loved the stories and seeing them unfold in person.  So grateful for the influence he has had in shaping the positive stories of our community.  He was truly a great community ambassador and advocate.

I'm going to miss the great stories he told and that laugh of his.  He was the best most kind big brother anyone could ever ask for.  Now he's with the rest of the family in heaven.  You are going to be missed.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Paul's death. We worked together as a team for many years at FiftyForward. (He was editor of the Senior Sentinel, later renamed Forward Focus.) Paul was always cheerful, well liked by everyone, and had a  passion for writing and photography. My heart goes out to Sue and her sister, especially.
