She was born on May 22, 1936, in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Herbert and Zackie Sharbel. She attended grade school at Assumption and Cathedral High School in Nashville. Mrs. Sullivan was a faithful member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She worked as an office manager at Donelson Hospital for 30 years until retirement. She married Lawrence “Larry” Sullivan and had four children. She was a great friend and confidant, as well as a tremendous cook.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence “Larry” Sullivan; brothers, Louis, Kelly, Nolen and Abie Sharbel, and sisters, Lucy Harmon, Barbara Douglas, Malachie Delcoto and Catherine “Kieka” Francis.
She is survived by four children, Michael Patrick (Becky) Sullivan, Laura Lynn Sullivan, Lawrence Lee (Whitney) Sullivan and Julie Marie Fortune; five grandchildren, Rachel, Hannah and Samuel Sullivan and Lucas and Anna Fortune; one brother, Patrick Sharbel; three sisters, Lorease Stangline, Josephine “Joe-T” Hendry and Helen Sharbel, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Rosary will begin on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church starting at 4:00 pm with visitation following until 7:00 pm.
Funeral Mass will be on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:30 am with Father Mark Hunt officiating.
The inurnment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Catholic Church or the Nashville Ladies of Charity in honor of Mrs. Sullivan.
