Nellie Layton Snyder, age 105 passed away on February 2, 2015 in Franklin, TN. Preceded in death by husbands Jule Layton and James E. Snyder; four sisters, Ruby, Callie Mae, Ersie Bell and Bettie Juanita; one brother, Curtis Ward. Survived by step-daughter, Nancy S. (Phillip) Williams; four nephews, Gene (Shirley) Ward, Doug (Margie) Jennings, Jerry (Jo) Jennings and Lynn (Terry) McMillan; niece Elaine (Clyde) Head; three grandchildren, Angela (Steve) White, Edie (Eddie) Black and Eric (Megan) Williams and eight great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank Tara Hughes for her wonderful care and also for the care from Williamson Medical Center. Nellie was a member of Wingate Church of Christ. Celebration of Life Service will be on Saturday, February 7, 2015 at two-thirty in the afternoon, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Gathering of family and friends will be on Friday, February 6 from four o’clock until eight o’clock, and on Saturday from twelve until the service time at two-thirty, Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
