He is predeceased by his loving wife Vera C. Thomas, parents, Kelton Loyd and Minnie Casey Thomas, and brothers Bobby Jack Thomas and H.B. Thomas.
Mickey is survived by two sisters, Joe Boudreau of Maybank, TX, Mary Ann Thomas of Dallas, TX; son Kelton D. Thomas of Lewisburg, daughter Julie E. Thomas of Brentwood, granddaughter Lindsey K. Bunt of Nashville, and faithful dog Tommy.
Mickey was born in Childress, TX in 1929 and graduated from Crozier Technical High School in Dallas. After serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, he settled in Nashville and married the love of his life Vera Cline. Mickey pursued a career in commercial printing, 28 years at Baird-Ward Printing and 17 years for Greater Buffalo Press, Buffalo, NY. He loved sports, was an avid golfer, coached little league baseball, played softball, and loved to read.
Mickey was a loving husband and devoted father. He was a faithful servant who loved his family, his church and his friends. He was a long-time member of Crievewood Baptist Church and most recently attended Haywood Hills Baptist.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, August 31 at eleven thirty in the morning, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville.
Gathering of family and friends will be on Wednesday, August 30, from five o’clock until eight o’clock, at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Haywood Hills Baptist Church, 255 Haywood Lane, Nashville, TN 37211.
