Mrs. Parmer was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on July 26, 1932, the daughter of the late James Albert Horn and Cora Priscilla Hutton. She worked as a switchboard-repair operator for Bell South until her retirement thirty-two years later, and also retired from working at the Catholic Center of Nashville. Mrs. Parmer was a loving soul and always extended a helping hand to anyone in need.
She is preceded in death by her husband of seventeen years, Lawrence M. Broderick; one infant child, Roger Glen Duke; one sister, Polly Stinson, and four brothers, Thomas, James, Wallace and Walter Horn.
Survivors include her sister, Betty Horn Wright and her husband, Joe; one brother, Leonard C. Horn and his wife, Alene; and several nieces and nephews that were near and dear to her heart.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2015, from nine-thirty until eleven-thirty in the morning at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
A celebration of life will be held on the same day at eleven-thirty in the morning at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association, 220 Great Circle Road #134, Nashville, Tennessee 37228.
