Mrs. Mary Agnes Fagg age 86, of Nashville, TN, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016. Mrs. Fagg was a member of the American Business Women’s Association. In 1970 she was given the Parthenon Chapter’s Woman of the Year Award and in 1973 served as President of the Parthenon Chapter. She was a member of the Order of the Amaranth and in 1975 was Royal Matron of Parthenon Court #9 Order of the Amaranth. Mrs. Fagg was the first woman in Nashville to manage a large department store, Gus Mayer. She was a beloved twenty-one year member of the Nashville Shrine #2 who served in many capacities. Mrs. Fagg enjoyed bowling and poetry. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Fagg was preceded in death by her husband, James Benson Fagg and a son, James A. “Jimmy” Flagg. Survivors include two brothers, John William Edde (Jeanne) and Richard Lee Edde (Carol); two sisters, Betty “Terry” Allor (Harold) and Ruby Nell Moore (Richard); seven nieces and nephews; eleven great-nieces and nephews; and three great-great-nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016, at two thirty, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Robert “Bubba” Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday from noon until the funeral hour at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
