Martin lived in the Scottsboro community since birth and was a member of the Scottsboro United Methodist Church. He worked at Rogers’ Seat Cover, the family owned business, for his working career. He had a passion for working on old cars as well as NASCAR and go-cart racing. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing in his younger years. He was the ultimate handy-man, and the go-to guy for family and community household projects. Above all, he loved spending time with family and friends. In fact, he never knew a stranger; anyone he met was instantly a friend.
He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Nancy Howard Rogers of Nashville, Tennessee; Daughter, Catherine (Matthew) Martin of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren, Audrey, Angelene, Sadie and Samuel; Sisters, Sharon (James) Work of Nashville, Tennessee and Carol Malone of Blountville, Tennessee; brother, Don Rogers of Nashville, Tennessee; a host of nieces and nephews.
