Mark Leon Roberts (Mark) age 61, passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2024. He was born on July 19, 1962 in Nashville, Tennessee to Donald Leon Roberts and Betty Leffler Roberts. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Elnora Kelly Leffler and Weller Cason Leffler, Pleasant Leon Roberts and Sarah Tarrant Roberts, and Uncles, William David Johnson, Sr. and Harold Cason Leffler.
Mark is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lisa Halker Roberts, parents Donald Leon Roberts and Betty Leffler Roberts, brother Scott F. Roberts (Gina), sister Donna Roberts Randolph (Glenn), Uncle Daniel Henry Leffler (Carmen), Aunt Shirley Johnson, nephew Logan Roberts (Allie), nieces Ellie Grau (Eddie), Emmie Lowe (Dawson), 1 great niece, 2 great nephews, 8 cousins, and 2 pet cats.
Mark graduated from David Lipscomb High School, received his bachelor’s degree from David Lipscomb University, and his MBA from the Owen School at Vanderbilt University. He began his career with Discover Card Financial Services where he was employed almost 30 years. It was during this time with Discover that he received an award from President Bush for his directive to facilitate the evacuation of 3,700 Morgan Stanley employees in Tower 2 on 911, thus saving their lives.
After a successful career with Discover, Mark began his 2nd career as a Day Trader, but his favorite job was working for the Chicago Cubs. He loved the job and considered his Cubs co-workers to be family. Additionally, during baseball off seasons he worked for the Bears and Chicago Fire soccer, as well as concerts at Wrigley Field.
Mark grew up helping in his family’s business, Eastside Pharmacy. His hobbies were skateboarding, music, reading, fishing and golf. He was humble and always most concerned about the well-being and welfare of those around him more than himself. Mark was very intelligent and a member of Mensa. Overall, Mark was very generous, always prepared, never met a stranger, witty with the most infectious laugh, and the coolest person ever.

A gathering of family & friends will occur from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
