Marie E. Bridges

Marie Estelle Bridges, age 90, died peacefully at home on Sunday March 6, 2011. Born Thursday August 19, 1920 in Nashville, TN she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Bridges, in 2002. He was the love of her life and they were married in 1942. She was also preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Marilynn Lee in 2008; and her parents Clay and Maxie Witcher Jones.

She graduated from Central High School in 1938; was a member of Grace Baptist Church since 1947 and a member of the Faithful Workers Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her son-in-law Randall Lee of Waynesboro, VA; nieces Evelyn Harris, Nancy Dickerson and Jeanette Basham, several nieces and nephews and her special friend Sandra Gregory.

Graveside service will be 2:30 Wednesday March 9, 2011 in Woodlawn Memorial Park with Bro. Andre Dugger officiating. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Hospice.

Honorary Pallbearers: Sterling Bridges, Don Gregory and Eddie Gregory. Active: Randall Lee, David Dickerson, Bobby Dickerson, Dan Dickerson, Tim Harris, Darrell Harris and Terry Harris.
