Linzey Danielle Smith, age 33, of Brentwood, Tennessee passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. Linzey was born July 5, 1989 in Nashville, Tennessee. Linzey is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Truman D. Smith and Betty J. Smith and her maternal grandparents, William Morton Melson and Judith Ann Zimmerman.
Linzey is survived by her mother, Dana Smith of Brentwood, Tennessee; father, Daniel T. Smith (Debra Brawner) of Dickson, Tennessee; sisters, Ashlee (Jacques) Lecorps of Nashville, Tennessee and Steffie Sloan; brother, Taylor Smith; nephews, Ethan and Max; niece, Maggie; aunts, Melissa (Jimmy) Simmons, Cindy Rothchild(Carlo Guglielmi) and Miché (George) Ortega; uncles, David G. (Lisa) Smith, Stephen H. (Martha) Smith, Andrew J. (Donna) Smith and Jeffrey F. Smith; and numerous loving cousins.
Linzey attended Brentwood High School, and graduated from University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a degree in Marketing and Logistics. Among other jobs, she was a manager in her family’s business, the Granny White Market. Her love of people and caring heart led her back to school to pursue a medical career. She was currently employed as a Patient Care Technician at St. Thomas West Hospital, serving as a dedicated essential worker during the pandemic.
Linzey loved nature and served as a junior ranger for several seasons at Radnor Lake State Natural Park, and continued to volunteer on their behalf. She loved boating, the ocean, bright colors, and large purses; family gatherings, and her constant companion, her dog Cooper.
A Service for Linzey was held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Christ United Methodist Church, 508 Franklin Rd, Franklin, TN 37069.
