BURNETT SR., John Thomas-Age 86, passed away February 27, 2011. Mr. Burnett is preceded in death by his Parents, brothers and sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Johnnie Thelma Tucker Burnett; children, Steve Burnett (Jane), Rick Burnett (Jan), Karol Sanders (John), Tommy Burnett, Nancy Parker (Richard), Adam Burnett, Ray Burnett (Jennifer); 20 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Mr. Burnett was an Executive in the women’s shoe industry. He was a member of Old Hickory Church of Christ. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. March 3, 2011 in Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall with Don Loftis and Mark Adams officiating. Pallbearers include: Steve Burnett, Rick Burnett, Tommy Burnett, Adam Burnett, Ray Burnett, John Sanders, Richard Parker, Clint Sanders, Paul Parker, Lee Burnett, Tyler Burnett, Colin Burnett, Cory Burnett, Aaron Burnett and Zach Burnett. Honorary Pallbearers include: Clayburn Tucker, Ronnie Tucker, Dee Crabtree, Joe Russell, Jack Burden, and the Genesco Coffee Group. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. and from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday at WOODLAWN-ROESCH-PATTON FUNERAL HOME (615)383-4754.
