Janet C. Barr

Janet C. Barr, age 81, of Brentwood, passed away on Monday evening, August 5, 2013. Mrs. Barr was the daughter of the late Ernest Francis and Elizabeth Alley Chilton. She was preceded by her husband, Ewing Edward Barr, who passed away in 2002. Mrs. Barr is survived by her son, Mike (Nancyann) Barr; daughter, Kelli (Mark) Summers; sisters, Dot Canter, Helen Smith and loving and devoted sister Brenda Lyle; grandchildren, Megan Barr, Chase Summers, Samantha Summers and Kendall Summers; special friends, Moneta Merry Schumaker, Ladelle Morrell and Joyce Brackett. Funeral services will be at Eleven O’clock the morning of Friday, August 9, 2013 at Crieve Hall Church of Christ. Placement will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Mrs. Barr was a longtime member of the Crieve Hall Church of Christ congregation, where she had served as a supervisor for the Primary Sunday School program and was a teacher in the Crieve Hall Church of Christ Preschool and Kindergarten. She was also Administrative Assistant for Dr. Eugene Regen. Janet was a friend to many. In lieu of customary floral tributes, memorials may be made to the Crieve Hall Church of Christ Preschool and Kindergarten. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation Thursday evening from Four till Eight O’clock at Crieve Hall Church of Christ.
