Mrs. Wilson was born on October 30, 1932 in Bells, TN, daughter of the late Captain Paul Edwards and Alton Carmel Pierce Edwards.
Mrs. Wilson graduated from University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Education. She was a proud elementary school teacher in the Nashville area for many years.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Don Edwards.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Forrest "Tony" Wilson; daughters, Julie Taylor (Steve) of Hermitage, TN and Trudy Jenkins (Johnny) of Mt. Juliet, TN; sons, Mark Wilson (Pam) and Eric (Julie) Wilson, all of Barlett, TN; grandchildren, Dr. Alex Taylor (Kristen), Jimmy Earnest (Rocky), Melissa Taylor, Rachel Wilson, Nathan Jenkins, Paige Jenkins and Brianna Wilson; six great-grandchildren; sister, Jo Spraggins (Joe).
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at eleven-thirty in the morning on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held from three o'clock in the afternoon until seven on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 and one hour prior to service time at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
