She was born in Buffalo, NY on July 31, 1926 to the late Florence and Fred Schuch. Jane is also preceded in death by her husband, Ambrose Moss and sister, Donna Fitch.
Survivors include her son, Greg Moss of Clarksville, TN; daughter Marcia Lowe (Gary) of Murfreesboro, TN; Grandchildren, Gregory Moss Jr., Joshua Moss (Brittney), Jonathan Moss, Madeline Walker (Josh), Brandon Lowe (Amanda), Michelle Spears, (John); Great Grandchildren: Maggie Walker, Allie Walker, Emma Mayden, Lincoln Moss, Harrison Spears; Sister Carol Bray (Bob); Brother Danny Schuh as well as nieces and nephews.
Jane grew up in Buffalo N.Y. and met her husband Ambrose while working with the FBI in Washington D.C. in 1945. They married in 1949 and several years later they moved to Nashville when Ambrose began to work with the TBI. She spent most of her adult life in the Crieve Hall neighborhood of Nashville and worked with Durys Photography and Sears Credit.
Jane had a sharp mind and enjoyed reading, soduko, and playing games with her friends. When she moved to the Villages independent living facility, she made many new friends and was always the one to lead prayer at meals with her friends.
She was an active member of Church of the Advent Episcopal Church where she cherished and was uplifted by her involvement in the Women’s Church Guild there. A genuine friend and confidant to so many people, her desire was always to be helpful. She thoroughly loved and enjoyed all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and was always eager to spend time with them.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at the Church of the Advent, 5501 Franklin Pike, Nashville from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service to immediately follow. Private burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN.
