James “Jimbo” Sterchi FOWLER Jr. passed away on the 17th March 2016. He is preceded in death by his parents, James S. Fowler Sr. and Halle Webster Fowler, and his sister Corrine Fowler. Jim is survived by his two sons Landon and James Fowler, and his sister Happy Fowler. Born in Nashville, in 1951, Jim was a lifelong, dedicated fishing and hunting enthusiast. He spent decades of his life serving as an outfitter for both endeavors. In recent years he was a member and a significant donor to the Cascapedia Society, which helps to preserve one of his favorite fisheries in the world, the Cascapedia River in Quebec. A 4th generation art and antique collector/dealer, Jim spent the majority of his youth helping to build the family business, Period Gallery West, into one of the most respected Western and Native American art galleries in the country. Jim was an avid photographer that specialized in capturing the great outdoors, and his work was published many times over. He was a devoted father and son, who also extended his love and generosity to his many friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, the 23rd of April, 2016 from eleven in the morning until two in the afternoon at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home. Graveside services will commence at three-thirty in the afternoon on Saturday, at the Webster Cemetery in Cross Bridges, TN.
