Father James Roger Allen age 72, passed away on July 22, 2024. He is survived by his sisters, Rhonda Neal and Diane Dawson, aunt, Virginia Trimble-Ritter, cousin, Chuck Trimble and family, Johnson Families, Bowen families and the Stumbagh families.
Father James Allen went to Hillsboro High School. He was a founding member of the 23rd psalm that was affiliated with the Lord’s Chapel Church. He received his Bachelor of Theology from Liberty Bible College in 1975 and was the President of the student body council. He was a 1988 graduate of MTSU with a Bachelor of Science degree and was President of the Tennessee Association of Political Science Student and wrote for college newspaper. He received his Master’s in Divinity in 2006 and was ordained as a deacon, and his Doctorate in Theology in 2009 and then ordained as a priest at Holy Trinity College.
On Friday, September 6, 2024, services will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, with Receiving and Blessing for family only at 9:45am, Visitation from 10am to 10:45am, and a Eulogy will be given by Terry Blankenship at 10:45am. Finally, a Funeral Mass for Father James Allen will be held at 11am.
