Jacqueline (Jackie) Louise Smoot Morris, 81, of Nashville, Tennessee, passed away at home surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, August 6, 2021, following a brief illness. A celebration of life will be held in her honor on Saturday, September 4, 2021. Details pending.
Jackie was born in Malden, Missouri, on January 17, 1940. She graduated from Poplar Bluff High School in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, in 1958.
For more than 20 years, Jackie played an integral part in helping to grow The Allergy Relief Store in Franklin, Tennessee. Her love of working with all who entered the doors contributed to the store becoming a valued part of the community. Jackie loved family gatherings, experimenting with new recipes, and her cornbread dressing has become legendary. Her world revolved around being Maw Maw to her eight grandchildren whom she adored.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Johnny Morris, children Craig (Melanie) Morris, Scott (Michelle) Morris, Kim (Kenny) Gallas, Penny (Jim) Daddio, and Heather (Keith) Farris, grandchildren John Michael Morris, Cari Morris, Trey Daddio, Jeffrey Daddio, Jordan Daddio, McKenna Morris, Delaney Morris, and Morgan Farris, siblings Carol (Ozzie) Krudwig of Chillicothe, Illinois, Larry (Pat) Smoot of St. Charles, Missouri, brother-in-law, Larry Howdeshell, Sr., of Fenton, Missouri, and a host of nephews, great nephews, and great nieces. Jackie was preceded in death by her mother, Imogene Smoot Wiggins, siblings, Richard Smoot, Donna Kay Howdeshell, and Ruth Ann Harris-Henn.
