Helen Ackerman Demonbreun

Helen Elizabeth Ackerman Demonbreun, age 92, of Nashville, TN passed away October 19, 2020. She was preceded in death by parents, Sam and Corinne Ackerman; husband of 67 years, Louis A Demonbreun Sr; son Al and his wife, Nancy Demonbreun; grandson Chip Demonbreun; sisters Sammie Guthrie and Emma Miller; and brother Willie Ackerman.

Helen is survived by daughters Lee Ann (Tom) Hollingsworth and Lydia Jean Grisham; grandchildren Jamie Demonbreun, Scott (Summer) Demonbreun, Jane (Jason) Mosakowski, Tommy Hollingsworth, and Reece Grisham; great-grandchildren Jade Demonbreun, Kelton (Lauren) Brown, Natalie and Adalyn Demonbreun; great-great grandson Hudson Brown; sister Frankie Boyte; brother John (Cindy) Ackerman; and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Helen was a graduate of Cohn High School (Class of 1946) and a member of the National Honor Society. She was an employee of Life & Casualty Insurance Co, NES and in 1958 became a full-time homemaker. Helen was a life-long member of the Church of Christ, attending Park Avenue Church of Christ and Woodmont Hills Church.

A Private Family Service at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery will be held on November 5, 2020 @ 2:00 pm with Grandchildren as Pallbearers.

Affectionately known as “Queen Mum” she will be missed by all.
