Gary Richard Cummings

CUMMINGS, Gary Richard - Age 73, of Nashville, passed away on December 14, 2011. Survived by loving wife of 23 years, Sonja Cummings; daughters, Kimberly C. Warden, Heather A. Cummings, and Sunny (Scot) Arnold; grandchildren, Jeremiah Taylor, Trey Warden, and Christian Warden; step-mother, Carol Cummings; sisters, Joyce (Buddy) Tanton and Deborah (Bob) Rochelle; nieces and nephews; and many dear friends. A veteran of the United States Air Force, he served his country as a fighter pilot as a young adult. Throughout his life, he was a man that valued his relationship with God, and that relationship reflected a life of integrity and compassion to all those who knew him. He loved without reserve and gave without hesitation. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at ten o'clock the morning of Saturday, December 17, 2011 at Woodlawn's Dignity Hall. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends today from five o'clock until eight o'clock this evening, and again one hour prior to the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Athletic Dept. at Clemson University, an organization that was very dear to Gary's heart.
