Elizabeth B Wallace

Elizabeth “Libby” Wallace Age 99, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023. Libby was the youngest daughter of the late Henry Lansdon Bartlett and Maudie Bell Jones Bartlett. She is survived by her sons and their wives, Charles and Becky Wallace of Brentwood and Phillip and Diane Wallace of Knoxville and grandchildren, Victoria, Kathryne, Dillon and Jake Wallace and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Dillon, and all her siblings.

Libby graduated from David Lipscomb College in 1944 and was a teacher of 2nd and 3rd grade at Buffalo Valley School (Buffalo Valley, TN) and McLaughlin Studio (Private School, Nashville, TN) until 1952 at which time she devoted herself to the love and care of her immediate and extended family.

All the people that Libby met over the years felt her love and were part of her family. She was a lady of Christian faith and Southern hospitality. She was a longtime member of Brentwood Hills Church of Christ.

Thanks to all the staff at Cura Means Care, AccentCare and Avalon Hospice for their care over the past several months, to the members of Brentwood Hills Church of Christ who visited with her as she became unable to attend services, and her neighbors who have provided a wonderful friendship over the years.

A gathering of Libby's family & friends will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM. on Friday January 13, in the Dogwood Room A celebration of life service for Libby will be held at 3:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, 37204.
