Mrs. Edna Perry Lummis age 89, of Nashville, TN, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016. Mrs. Lummis was born in Nashville, TN, on July 14, 1926, the daughter of the late Robert Earl Perry and Martha Ellen Green Perry. She was a member of Granny White Church of Christ and Fifty Forward. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lummis was preceded in death by her first husband, James E. McGarrity; second husband, Thomas Lummis; a daughter, Rita Cox; a son, James E. “Skipper” McGarrity, Jr.; and a brother, John Perry. Survivors include a daughter, Sherrie Saller; three grandchildren, Adam Saller, Carson Saller (Kathleen), and Audrey Saller; and a great-grandson, Sonny Saller. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, May 1, 2016, at two thirty, Woodlawn’s Dignity Hall. Gathering of Family & Friends will be held Saturday from four o’clock until eight o’clock at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
