Rev. Eddie Booker Sr.

Rev. Eddie Booker, Sr., age 78, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022. Eddie was born March 7, 1943, in Toney , Alabama to the late, Harry Van Booker, Sr.  and Vestella Cummings Booker.  In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by  Daughter, Stacey Lynn Booker Thomas; siblings, Hildred Booker, Zett Booker, Newlyn Booker, Mable Payne, Henry Booker, Sr., Robert Booker, Harry Van Booker, Jr., and Son, Tony Moore.

Rev. Eddie Booker was educated in the Morgan County, Alabama School System and served his country in the United States Army for 27 and a half years. Eddie has laid down his working tools down from a Master Mason for over fifty years. At an early age he was saved, baptized, and called to preach God's word. He pastored several churches while in the military. After retirement he joined St. John Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Robert E. Bell.

Eddie is left to cherish his memory, his loving wife of fifty-six years, Doris Crutcher Booker of Hendersonville, Tennessee; children, Jervis (Stephanie) Watson of Arkansas, Eddie Booker, Jr. of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Iris Nicole Booker of Hendersonville, Tennessee; five sisters, Estella Jackson, Dorothy McGinnis, Kateleen (Miles) Jackson, Bettye Jackson, and devoted sister, Doris Morrow; brother, Edward Cummings; devoted brother-n-law Rev. Hezekiah Crutcher and loving sister-n-law Jacqueline Patterson. devoted grandchildren, Makita Edwards, Satin (Demetrist) Henderson, Brandon Dunn, Silk (Chris) Elliott, Madison (Christian) Tate-Booker, Christopher Moore, Kennedy Tate-Booker (Aaron) Reed, Lace (Elijah) McGyver, Colby Booker, Reagan Moore, Keedan Carney, Jamal Sanders, Xavier Booker, Keija Booker, Omari Booker, great-grandchildren, Jada and Jervis Henderson; Daxton and Daelyn Elliott; Elianna McGyver; Quinten, Amara, and Saylor Dunn, Cree, Case, and Cade Reed, and Arian McCormick, Aspen and Aislen Tate-Booker, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, and devoted friend, Juanita Barbee of Hendersonville, Tennessee.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for Eddie will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 from eleven o'clock in the morning until twelve noon at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1085 New Shackle Island Rd,, Hendersonville, TN 37075. A Celebration of Life Service will occur at twelve noon Saturday, January 22, 2022 at St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 1085 New Shackle Island Rd., Hendersonville, TN 37075.

Interment will be held at 1pm on Monday, January 24, 2022 at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 7931 McCrory Ln, Nashville, TN 37221.
