I just found out today that your mom passed.  I know it has been almost a year but I wanted to let you know that I’m sorry you and your family lost her.

I am so sorry that aunt Dot passed away rather suddenly. 
When I think of her, I think of 3 things: 1. She had a big laugh, an infectious laugh. You knew it was funny when she laughed. 2. Her photography skills: she had a gift for chopping off heads in photos. 3. What she meant to my mother, Imogene. Mom thought very highly of her sister, Dot, and she felt a close connection with her. Even with her failing memory, Mom frequently mentioned her name and told stories about her. Those are all special memories. Best wishes to the family,

I am so sad and so sorry for your loss, Mike, and will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. Of course, your loss is also our loss. I will miss my sister. She had been so good to me, staying in touch these past years as my own health declined. She was loved and is loved always, aunt Imogene

Losing a Mother is one of the deepest sorrows a heart can know. 
Rick and I have always loved and admired Dot's caring and selfless nature.  She was a beautiful lady, so kind to everyone and her smile was contagious.  She was a gem and will truly be missed.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. 

How I will miss you Aunt Dorothy!  
What I will remember is her generosity, her laughter, her sass! Family gatherings had that extra spark of laughter when Dorothy was present. She looked so cool in that T-bird. 
 She successfully navigated her career in a time it was difficult to be a woman in the workforce.  She had the strength of character of the woman of Proverbs 31. Through tough times she persevered and I will always admire her. 
She was loved by her whole family and I grieve with you in this difficult time. I’m so sorry I can’t be there with you, but you are in my prayers each day for comfort.

Aunt "Dot" was always the fun aunt, full of life, zest, and love. Feisty and full of personality. I have so many memories of spending time at her house, usually our first stop in the USA on dad's furloughs from mission work, every few years. I will always cherish her generosity and welcome, her ability to make us feel right at home, even though Nashville was quite the adjustment coming from Northern France!

Another memory I absolutely love is Aunt Dorothy's laughter. When she and my own mother, Imogene, and the other McAlister sisters, Fana, Linda, and long ago Louise, got together, Dot's easy laugh was contagious. Before long they were all reminiscing and laughing. That brings a smile to my face as I write, and a tear to my eye. 

You will be missed, dear one. I know heaven has a little more laughter in it today... Lovingly, your nephew

My sister, my friend will be greatly missed.  I miss you already.  Rest In Peace dear one. You have left us very sad.
