Born in Nashville, Tenn., on Sept. 2, 1937, to the late Ed and Louise Woodard, Dot is survived by her husband, Raymond Dye; two sons, Hugh Coleman (Phyllis) and Douglas Coleman; a daughter, Brenda Beckham (Mike); two step-children, Jimmy Dye (Johnna) and Jeffery Dye; four grandchildren, Jeremy Coleman, Taylor Coleman Snyder (Ryan), Justin Coleman and Mackenzie Peek; two step-grandchildren, Meagan and Sam Beckham, and a great-grandchildren, Ian Coleman and Bentley Snyder.
A homemaker who enjoyed quilting, ceramics, and floral arranging, she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and spoiling her Shih Tzu, Abbi.
A Celebration of Life Service will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2:30 p.m., at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane in Nashville with a one hour gathering prior to the service. A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held on Wednesday, March 11, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Mausoleum.
