Patti grew up in several different places beginning in Collinwood Tn/Florence Al area where her dad graduated from University of North Alabama. After graduating, the family set off on new adventures, beginning in Atlanta with GAO (Government Accountability Office) and was sent to Cocoa Beach Florida where he worked on Cape Canaveral. Patti attended kindergarten and made many friends. We were lucky to be there as the space program was just beginning and the original seven astronauts became some of our neighbors. She was very excited.
After Cocoa Beach, we moved to Jacksonville, Warner Robbins GA where she started first grade, Huntsville, Daytona Beach and back to Huntsville. Following GAO, her dad went to work for IRS and we moved to Pensacola where she became a big sister to Michael, Jr. After a couple of years there, we moved to Nashville/Franklin where she graduated from Franklin High School. She enjoyed working and worked for law offices and insurance companies.
She was married to Kenneth Pruitt who preceded her in death. They had one daughter, Aimee who has two children, Jaylan and Mekari.
After Kenneth’s death, Patti shared her life with her lifelong friend, Jan Gatlin who was with her and Aimee as she passed.
Patti accepted Christ as a child and looked toward heaven, smiling as she passed from this earth.
Remembering her in love are her mother Peggy, brother Michael and wife Lisa, daughter Aimee and greatest friend Jan who became her caregiver after she was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimers; also a nephew and niece, Will and Lucy Lowery and several aunts and uncles and many cousins.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.EastlandFuneralHome.com for the Pruitt family.
