He was preceded in death by his parents Alton Ray Blackwell and Hattie Marie Cone Blackwell, and brothers Charles and Melvin Blackwell. Donald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sybil Earps Blackwell; brother Thomas Ray Blackwell; sons Steve (Tammy) Blackwell and Cody (Rachelle) Blackwell; grandchildren Scott (Kim) Blackwell, Eric Blackwell, Autumn (Tommy) Adair, and Amanda (Blake) Gillum; great-grandchildren Ellie & Grayson Gillum, and Addison Adair.
Ducey was born May 2, 1935, graduated from East High School, served in the US Navy Reserve and US Army, serving two years in Germany. He was employed at Federal Reserve Bank in Nashville for six years, then Data Cash Register from 1961-2020 serving as technician, General Manager, and President during his career.

Don loved yard work, gardening, fishing, golf, and family. He was a hardworking businessman and fisherman. He worked alongside his father, brother, and sons.
Visitation will be held Monday June 21, 2021 from 10:30AM - 11:50PM at Woodlawn Funeral Home, 660 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204. A family only graveside ceremony will commence at 12:00NOON.
