David R. Bailey

David Richard Bailey passed away peacefully February 10, 2023 at the age of 80. Born in Nashville, TN, he graduated from David Lipscomb. David had a lifetime love of the outdoors, hunting, gardening, and taking his family to vacation in Naples, FL every summer.He was a retired locomotive engineer with the CSX railroad. Remembered for his generous and thoughtful nature, pride of his family, he was always willing to help others.

David is preceded in death by mother, Frances Virginia Clingan.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Moore Bailey, son, David Alan Bailey, daughter Alicia Anne (Jeff Howard) Brim, grandchildren Heather Leigh (Matt) Loper, Christopher William (Jessica) Brim, Garett Spencer (Sabrina) Bailey, Sterling Matthew Bailey, Sister, Barbara Proctor, and 4 great grandsons.

A graveside service for David will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. With Alan Bailey, Spencer Bailey, Sterling Bailey, Chris Brim, John Sapp and Ian Manning serving as pallbearers.
