Craig Allen Donley, age 62, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family. Craig was born in Louisville, Kentucky on May 28, 1962, to his Parents Ronald Craig & Julie Ann Goodell Donley.
Craig was a graduate of Franklin High School class of 1980. After high school Craig had a desire to join the Military but after several considerations, followed his father’s footsteps and went into the printing industry. He took to the industry very well, even winning an award for printing a Hume Fogg historic print while still an apprentice pressman.
While starting his career he met and fell in love with his wife GiGi. Craig and GiGi were married in 1988. Craig cherished spending time with his family, friends, and watching the grandchildren grow. Craig had many favorite hobbies and pastimes including going to the beach, playing golf, listening to Country Music, UT Sports and the good company of his family and friends. Craig’s family attends Brentwood United Methodist Church where his mother was the administrative assistant for Congregational Care. Craig was a loving, caring, supportive, and hardworking man who always tried to be a good friend. He hoped that his family and friends thought of him as kind, someone who listened more than he spoke, and always treated people with respect. Craig was a wonderful, loving, and caring man who will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Craig is preceded in death by his grandparents Harry & Yvonne (Billie) Donley, George & Arlene Goodell, his Father Ronald Craig Donley, and his granddaughters Elyssa & Ella Donley. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years GiGi Gentry Donley, by his children Adam Michael Donley (Emily), Kaitlin Riane Turner (Josh), and Robert Craig Donley (Brooke), by his grandchildren Amberly Rose Donley, Kamdyn Doris Donley, Evan Christopher Schultz, Emma Grace Donley and Ethan Robert Donley, by his brother Richard (Rick) Donley, sister Janet Lynn Donley Rich and nephews & in-laws.
There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Thursday August 15, 2024 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a Celebration of Live service at 2:00 pm at Brentwood United Methodist Church 309 Franklin Rd, Brentwood, TN 37207. Private Inurnment service to follow immediately.
