Carolie Grace Driscoll

DRISCOLL, Carolie Grace Payette, born December 22, 1928 in Port Huron, MI., daughter of the late, Henry Joseph and Ila Susan La Forge Payette , went to be with our Lord, May 15, 2013 in White House, TN. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Arthur Clement Driscoll; son, Don Arthur (Ailyn) Driscoll of Goodlettsville, TN; sister, Ann (Frank) Cassidy, Santa Barbara, CA. She is preceded in death by siblings Patricia Lutz, Donald Payette, Mary Lohrstorfer, Ila Steyer, Denisse Lutz and daughter-in-law Lisa Marie Driscoll. Carolie has four grandchildren whom she loved very much: Casey, Philip, Nicholas and Fatima Driscoll. Carolie met her future husband, Arthur, at a BSA pancake breakfast and it was love at first sight. They were married on April 16, 1955 at St. Thomas Moore Church in Alhambra, CA. Carolie and Arthur adopted their infant son Don in January 1962. Eventually, Carolie and Arthur moved to Spokane, WA where they lived for nearly 25 years. Carolie was actively involved with Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane where she was a volunteer (pink lady) for over ten years. In 2004, Carolie and Arthur moved to Tennessee to be close to their son and his family where Carolie loved to attend all of her grandchildren’s school events and performances. Carolie was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother and wonderful aunt to her many nieces and nephews. Funeral mass will be held May 22, 2013 at 11am at Our Lady of the Lake Church, Hendersonville, TN. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Friends of Sumner Regional Medical Center.
