Carol Ann Ward Cannon – Age 57, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Nashville, Tennessee on Thursday, July 10, 2014. She was born Carol Ann Ward, in Memphis, Tennessee on November 6, 1956, the daughter of Albert and Marcelle (Gautier) Ward.
She is preceded in death by beloved mother and father, Marcelle (Gautier) Ward and Albert C. Ward, brother, Richard M. Ward, and beloved mother-in-law, Mary Auston Cannon.
Survived by her loving devoted husband of 25 years, Thomas Cannon; brother, David J. Ward (Leah); nephew, Patrick Ward and niece, Catie Ward.
Carol grew up in Nashville, graduating from St. Ann’s elementary school, Father Ryan High School, and Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in elementary education. She worked at J.C. Bradford for many years, and continued that work at UBS, developing lifelong friendships at both institutions.
Carol was a very loving and devoted wife, sharing her passion for the Alabama Crimson Tide with her husband Tom. Carol was very fond of her nieces and nephews, considering them her own children.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 14, 2014 from 4-8pm at Marshall-Donnelly- Combs.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 10am on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Marshall-Donnelly-Combs Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
