Beverly June Townsend, age 85, of Nashville, Tennessee passed away Monday, January 22, 2024, in Nashville, Tennessee. Beverly was born to the late Eloise and Cecil Fitts on June 30, 1938, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Beverly attended Highland Heights High School in Nashville, Tennessee. She married William Henry Townsend in Nashville. Beverly worked as a sheet metal fabricator. She loved her family and church.
Beverly is survived by her children, Tony (Renee) Townsend, Gary Townsend, Edward (Jamie) Townsend, Vickie Woodard, Mollie (Terry) Townsend, Beverly (Glenn) Cothran, and Elizabeth(Jory) McDaniel; sister, Wanda Swartz; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren; and 11 Great-great children.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Townsend; and daughter, Shelia Patrick.
A gathering of family and friends for Beverly will be held Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Woodlawn-Roesch-Patton Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204. A celebration of life will occur Monday, January 29, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, at 660 Thompson Ln, Nashville, TN 37204.
