Aundreas was born to Johnnie M. Douglas on September 16, 1954 and raised by Elna E. Coffee and Robert G. Coffee in Nashville, Tennessee. She passed to her heavenly reward on July 9, 2020 in her home in Brentwood, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her brothers Gary Wattley and Darryl Wattley and is survived by her daughter, Ashley Smith; sister, Donzaleigh Phillips (Maurice Phillips); brother, Robert Coffee (Vernae Coffee), sister-in-law, Levonia Wattley in addition to three nieces, one nephew and a host of beloved friends.
As a young woman, Aundreas proved that she was a unique individual with amazing commitment and focus. Whether bestowing an invaluable life lesson upon her daughter or exerting her witty pros upon her family and colleagues, she made sure her words were heard and her opinion was known.
A legal wordsmith, art collector, activist, and devoted mother and sister, she never let life discourage her from obtaining a goal. Always seeking knowledgeable challenges, Aundreas set her sights on Nashville’s litigious community earning her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Government from Tennessee State University before pursuing her Jurist Doctorate from the Nashville School of Law. She subsequently opened her own Law Firm, the Law Offices of Aundreas Smith and began a devoted practice in the areas of Civil Litigation and Workers Compensation Defense.
Always known for her comedic retorts and mesmerizing gaze, Aundreas had a very specific way of capturing your heart. Devastatingly loyal to those around her, she imparted her spirit upon others ensuring that everyone understood the importance of everyone’s worth.
Her journey from a stubborn bashful young girl to a truly phenomenal woman was a beautiful thing to behold. Committed to her family, friends, and community, Aundreas is irreplaceable and will forever be missed.
