He was a “Nashville native,” born on September 30, 1964, to Peggy Keylon Adams and Alfred (Alf) Thompson Adams, Jr.He spent his formative years at Montgomery Bell Academy, where he forged lasting friendships and created cherished memories that endure to this day.A Vanderbilt University graduate, Bo honed his engineering skills by building family homes with his dad in Beersheba Springs, Tenn.He spent 18 years working for The Parent Company and another 18 years at H.G. Hill Realty Company.Bo most recently served as project executive at Yates Construction.
While working on a project, Bo met and married the love of his life, Jennifer (Jenn) Claire McPherson.For 19 years, she was his soulmate, and their profound, joyful love was evident to everyone who knew them.
Bo had a gentle heart and generously gave of his time to all those around him.He was happiest when surrounded by his family and staying in Beersheba Springs, a place that held a special meaning for all of them.Bo was truly one of the good ones, and will be deeply missed by so many.
He is survived by his wife, Jenn, son Thompson, step-daughter, Ellie Ford, and daughters Katherine, Elizabeth and Griffith Adams.Sisters Jencie (Waymon) Tipton, Karin (Gordon) Wynn, Sue (Peter) Keyes and Peggy (Ken) Luton and all of his loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28 at First Presbyterian Church, 4815 Franklin Pike, from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. with a celebration of life at noon.Those who wish to honor Bo may make gifts in his memory to The Montgomery Bell Academy Fund or Beersheba Medical Clinic.
