Addie Mae Simpkins Wood was born on October 6, 1919 and passed away on May 30, 2015 at age 95. Addie is preceded in death by her husband, Jearol D. "Jerry" Wood, Sr.; her parents, John Edgar Simpkins and Grace Enola Wayman; siblings, Elihue Simpkins, Lawrence Simpkins, Mable Petty, Ozell Simpkins, Malcom Simpkins, and Jerry Simpkins, and two great-grandsons.
Addie is survived by children, Enola Snelling, Wilma Young, Jerry Wood, Jr., and Susan Casella; 14 grandchildren, Charles Young Jr., Dennis Snelling, Russell Snelling, Tressa Young King, Troy Young, Elaina Snelling Gibbs, Kimberly Wood Thompson, Tami Casella Caudill, Tony Casella Jr., Regina Snelling, Tina Casella Flannery, Jeri Dawn Wood, and Jonathan Wood ; 33 great grandchildren, great grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Leduc and Joyce Duke; brother, David Simpkins; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from ten o’ clock in the morning until two-thirty in the afternoon on Thursday, June 4, 2015 with funeral service to follow at two-thirty at Woodlawn Roesch-Patton Funeral Home.
