Margaret Carol Stewart

Margaret Carol Stewart gained her Angel Wings in the early morning hours of July 27th, 2023. She was the third daughter of James and Wilma Stewart’s seven daughters, and was born May 25th, 1953.
Margaret Carol attended Helmsburg Elementary School and graduated from Brown County High School in 1971.
Her first job, while in high school, was at The Hitching Post in Nashville. She moved on from there to the Fiesta Restaurant in Nashville, then to The Dutch Pantry restaurant in Columbus. She began working at Kroger in Columbus on October 12th, 1977 until she retired, July 4th 2023. Her Kroger family meant a great deal to her.
Margaret Carol is survived by sisters, Sherry Stewart Overholser, Anna Stewart Sprague, Brenda Stewart Badger, Marjorie Stewart Miller, and Teresa Stewart. She also has several nieces and nephews; plus she is the Honorary Grandma of Ashley Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and her youngest sister, Cindy Stewart Moore.
Margaret Carol was a member of the Bean Blossom Mennonite Church. She had very fond memories of her years attending the church with her family and with her church family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31st, 2023 from 4-8pm at Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home (1682 State Road 135 North, Nashville, IN 47448). The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August, 1st, 2023 at 12pm. Friends and family may pay their respects beforehand at 11am.
