Joseph “Joe” Adam Busby, 55, of Taylorsville died Saturday, July 27, 2019 in I. U. Health, Methodist Hospital. He was born October 5, 1963 in Chicago to Stanley Gordon Busby, Sr. and Glenna Lou Parish Busby. He was a custom automobile painter.
Survivors include his mother of Nashville; a son, Casey Cruz Busby and wife Suzet of Romeoville, Illinois; his companion, Kim Gray of Taylorsville; two brothers, Stanley Busby, Jr. of Nashville and Edward Busby of Columbus; two grandchildren, Cayden Cruz Busby and Carter Liam Busby; and nieces and nephews, Ean Busby, Skyler Busby, Anna Hovenstine, Michael Busby, Leah Busby and Allan Busby. He was preceded in death by his father; and a son, Adam Daniel Busby.
Joe was a member of Mt Pleasant Christian Union in Columbus. He was a very talented artist in many mediums; he made jewelry, carved wood, did drawing, made furniture and painted. He was very loved and loved many and all children, he was a good Christian man and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Road King.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Kevin Metz officiating, in Bond-Mitchell Funeral Home, 1682 State Road 135 North, burial will follow in New Bellsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 2, 2019 from 4:00 – 9:00 PM in the Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services on Saturday.
