She was born May 1, 1924 in Nashua, daughter of the late Joseph P. and Bernadette B. (Duhamel) Ouellette. Pauline was predeceased by a brother, Paul Ouellette and his wife Jane, a sister Rita (Ouellette) Gove and her husband Lester F. Gove and a great nephew Jonathan Paul Gove.
Pauline grew up in Nashua, graduated from St. Aloysius High School class of 1942, had a wonderful career at Bronze Craft as Office Manager and retired 1984. She was a proud member of the Parish of the Resurrection and Catholic Daughters, Court Bishop Molloy chapter for over 60 years, having served two terms as Grand Regent.
Pauline loved to travel (favorite Hawaii vacation), spending winters in Florida with friends, reading, playing poker and bingo (always a winner), knitting sweaters for grandnieces and grandnephews, baking and decorating delicious creative cakes for all family and friend’s occasions, and spending precious time with family.
Her retirement years found her in York Beach, Maine six months out of the year enjoying her wonderful neighbors, the beautiful views, restaurants, walking the beach and as she would say “being a sun goddess”.
Pauline had such a kind caring heart and will be truly missed by her nephews: Lester Paul Gove and wife June, Ken Gove and wife Kathy, Steve Ouellette and wife Taiwan, John Ouellette and nieces: Cheryl Ouellette and Paula English and husband Tim; as well as numerous grand nephews and grandnieces.
A Memorial Mass will be held at the Parish of the Resurrection, 449 Board Street, Nashua on August 24 at 11:00.
In lieu of flowers, Pauline request donations to be made in her memory to the Jonathan Gove Memorial Scholarship Fund, 18 Sand Hill Road, Hudson, NH 03051.
