She was born on December 9, 1931, the daughter of the late Napoleon (Paul) Michaud and Simone (Dube) Michaud. Her brother and sister-in-law, Normand and Marcie Michaud preceded her in death, as did her sister and brother-in-law, Yvonne and Richard (Dick) Piwowarski. Her husband, Henry (Russ) Franklin also preceded her in death, as did her ex-husband, Hector Durocher.
She attended Nashua High School and was a regular at class reunions. She was a talented needle worker and crafter and a prolific seamstress making much of the clothing worn by herself and her children. She also enjoyed reading, gardening and trying new recipes. A homemaker for many years during which time she raised her six children, she returned to the work force as a retail merchandiser and ultimately achieved the position of Training Supervisor for JC Penney. She retired from JC Penney in 1994 and spent several years traveling the world with friends and close associates. She was also a volunteer for the Nashua Senior Center for several years as a receptionist.
She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Deborah (Durocher) Minard of Bethany, OK, Deanne (Durocher) Fortnam and her husband, Douglas Fortnam of Nashua, NH, D. Yolande Durocher of Chandler, AZ, David Durocher and his wife, Deb Durocher, of Marlborough, NH, Danielle Durocher of Windham, NH, and Damian Durocher of Nashua, NH. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Heather Fortnam of Nashua, NH, Michael Levesque of Chandler, AZ, Jessica Durocher of Conway, NH, and Brian Durocher of Marlborough, NH.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 4-8pm at the Zis-Sweeney & St. Laurent Funeral Home, 26 Kinsley Street, Nashua NH. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Home Health Care and Hospice, 7 Executive Park Dr, Merrimack NH, 03054
