DeVante’ was born on October 17th 1996 at 3:45 am in Nashua NH to his proud loving parents Alison Acorn & Angel Acorn. He graduated one year early from High school in Nashua NH in 2014 at 17 years old. He was a college student at NCC majoring in Criminal Justice & Law. Devante worked at Camps Car wash & Detail for about two years. He spent a lot of time with his brothers Isaac & Andres Acorn to whom he was more like a father figure to. He taught them everything they know. He wanted them to succeed in this world and it meant everything to him for them to be the best they could be.
DeVante’ was an accomplished honors student that excelled in reading, writing, and history. He dreamed of traveling the world someday. DeVante` was an extraordinary athlete growing up that had a true born talent for soccer, basketball, football and baseball. He was a member of the Nashua Nighthawks basketball club for four years. A NEC football player (AKA Hollywood) for five years. He also belonged to the Nashua West Cal Ripken baseball for nine years in which he had received many trophies, MVP awards, and many other recognitions during his childhood career. He had a passion for basketball and was a dedicated Celtics fan. He loved to listen & write music. He loved snowboarding, skateboarding and was a loving, caring basketball coach and mentor to several inner city children in the area. He always wanted to make people laugh; his sense of humor was contagious.
DeVante` is survived by his mother Alison Acorn and her significant other John Mcmanus of Nashua NH, maternal grandparents Daniel & Susan Carril of Nashua NH, paternal grandmother Ruth Ann Acorn of Manchester NH, grandfather Angel Santos of Lowell Mass, Soul mate Tyra Horgan of Nashua NH, his beloved brothers Angel Rahiem Acorn of Lowell Mass, Isaac Daniel Acorn, Andres Angel Acorn, and Little John Mcmanus of Nashua NH, Xavier Acorn and his precious baby sister Izabella Acorn of Lawrence Mass. His Aunt Caroline Carril and his beloved cousins (little sisters) Rosemary Carril and Shyla Wolf. He was also blessed with many special cousins, aunts, uncles and close dear friends everywhere. He is predeceased by his Loving Father Angel Daniel Acorn, Uncle Daniel Steven Acorn and his maternal grandmother Rosemary Carril.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday August 7th, from 4PM-8PM at Zis Sweeney & St. Laurent Funeral Home. Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to the Boys and Girls Club of Nashua.
