Gloria María Camacho was born in Havana, Cuba and began her life in South Florida at the age of 19. Always a smart, hardworking, and dedicated individual, she embraced multiple careers throughout her life. From accounting to childcare to real estate to baking, eventually Gloria found a second home with Baptist Hospital‘s supply chain department. Nearly 30 years later, she retired. Throughout her entire life, Gloria spent most of her free time serving others. Gloria volunteered as a Eucharistic minister and Sunday school teacher for Sacred Heart Catholic Church, where she began the first baptismal class for children with autism and became a Godmother to many. She loved God, life, people, travel, food, her friends, and her family with vigor and compassion. Everyone who knew her, loved her. Helping others and showing unconditional love was her specialty. She is survived by her husband of more than 50 years, Felix Camacho Jr., her children Felix, Gloria, and Yvonne, her two granddaughters, Gloria and Amelia, her niece and nephew, Janet and Armando, and many other close family members and friends. May we all cherish and honor her memory by continuing to love others the way she did.“
